Santa Cruz County Inventory increasing slightly – great news for buyers!

SINGLE FAMILY INVENTORY:

When we compare January’s inventory to December 2013, it actually increased  4% in Santa Cruz County.  January Inventory was down 11% in Santa Cruz County, but that is well below the 30% to 40% levels in the market for some months in 2013.

SINGLE FAMILY SALES:

Santa Cruz County increased 16% in single family sales in January 2014 compared to a year ago. With that being said, sales were still down 8% in Santa Cruz County compared to December 2013.  This is expected because January is usually one of the slowest months of the year.
